You can ask the universe for all the signs you want, but ultimately, we see what we want to see when we’re ready to see it.
- Anonyme: it's such a waste you cover up, you would be so gorgeous without that scarf on i honestly feel bad :(
The scarf on my head is the biggest blessing God has ever seen me worthy of. No matter how beautiful someone is, looks will inevitably perish over time. Age happens, accidents happen, and death happens. But throughout everything that life throws at me, it’s not my beauty that gives me peace- it’s my Creator. This scarf is a constant reminder to me of my most important identity, a believer in Allah (swt). It helps me humble myself, control my worldly desires, and it protects me from any unwanted attention. Anything that I strive to achieve in life in work or school never goes in vain, because the hijab on my head allows the credit to go where it’s due- to Allah.
That’s a blessing I’d willingly give my life for, let alone cover up my beauty (which is all from Him in the first place). So don’t pity me because of my hijab, but be happy for me all of those who are able to preserve it. We wear it because we love who it helps us become, and that is someone way greater than looks can ever help anyone achieve.
Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.
I’m sorry I didn’t message you back but I put it off because I wanted to give you my full attention and then I forgot for a day and then I was busy again and then I got nervous because I’d left it for too long and I thought you’d be mad so I left it for even longer.
